After quite a few months in limbo we can now say (in early February 2012) that the Dungog Cinema WILL BE BACK UP AND RUNNING SOON.
Behind the scenes there has been a lot of activity and we can safely say that by May 2012 a new digital projector will be installed and the “big screen in Dungog” will be running again. There is still lots to happen but as far as the members of the film society are concerned the outcome will be very satisfactory. Until the James is up again the Society will operate some films out of the Wallarobba Hall.
But thanks to those of you who have signed the petitions, it was up to 600 when we looked recently and has been used to convince interested bodies of the level of concern for the Cinema. Thanks!
